Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And alas, I could only take one.
The first, many footprints it withstood;
The second, a hazard to all that was good,
Yet more of a challenge, and therefore more fun.
Of course, the second I wanted to take;
Monotony never quite satisfied me.
But hasty decisions oft lead to mistakes,
Thus I sat nearby, on a bench by the lake,
To observe the passer-bys discretely.
Then I watched a man walk to the pathways,
Pondering them, to the first, he remarked
"Oh, how boring. I'll go the other way!"
And so he went, then others came.
Each one, on the un-barren path they embarked.
I sat there watching them, with a sigh,
As they dared to be different, like everyone else.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
Dug a hole in the ground and made a new path of my very own. So there!
