The Game’s Got a Name!

It just occurred to me that I haven’t yet mentioned in this blog that my current work in progress, the stop motion musical black & white detective point-and-click adventure game for personal computers and tablets, which I’ve been harping on and on about for goodness knows how long, now has an actual name. It’s… wait for it…

Dominique Pamplemousse in “It’s All Over Once The Fat Lady Sings!”

Hmm, yeah, that’s a bit of a mouthful. Feel free to call it Dominique Pamplemousse, or just Pamplemousse, or anything else you desire. Anyway, here, have some lovely classic movie poster-style logo art. [1]

Dominique Pamplemousse, as you may have gathered, is the name of the game’s protagonist. Also: yes, of course there is a fat lady singing in the game, and she is awesome.

Anyway, there hasn’t been much in the way of additional news to report, but there has been progress, and those who have seen the demo have liked what they saw (and given me excellent feedback on how to make it even better!) so good stuff all around. I just thought it would, you know, be nice not to have to always refer to the game as “uh, the stop motion musical… videogame… thingy… I’ve been working on for the past little while”.

Nice! I’m a big fan of old-timey lengthy titles. I think you need an “or” and a subtitle, though :)

Will we be getting a release date anytime soon?

  2. *grins* Still can’t wait to play this one.

Okay, I’m done being silly. ;)

Lee, those are awesome. I’d use all of them, but that would make the title even more annoyingly long than it already is.

Quinn, I’m still aiming for early 2013.

  5. Seg says:

Woo!!! I can’t wait to shamelessly promote the crap out of this!

Also, that’s the second biggest video game title I’ve ever seen!

    The longest:
Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People: Episode 4 – Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective in 3D.
