IGDA, yay!
October 5th, 2006Last Tuesday, I went to my first-ever IGDA chapter meeting in San Francisco. Mind you, I’ve never even been to an IGDA meeting in Vancouver or anywhere else for that matter, so this was my first-ever IGDA chapter meeting, period. It was interesting, to say the least, especially given that the presentation pertained to Telltale and CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder.
I don’t really have all that much to say, especially given that Heather wrote all about that particular evening already. [1] So, uh, go read that instead.

One thing both you and Heather failed to mention - for us uneducated fools - is what IGDA stands for. Google to the rescue! Interesting.

I thought that was common knowledge. Oops. If any other uneducated fools walk in here, it’s the International Game Developers Association.

Even after reading more about it, I don’t think I’d heard about it before. I’m a member of the IDRS, though.

Is it anything like the GDC?

When I get around to actually going to a GDC, I’ll let you know.
