Writing in Other Blogs
Look! Look! I’ve infiltrated the Telltale blog! And with content of significantly better quality than the blogs I tend to post here, to boot! Go check it out, if you haven’t already. [1]
Oh, and in case you care, I also made the TGTTPOACS website brighter and more aesthetically pleasing last night. At least, I find it more aesthetically pleasing. You might think it looks horrible. But I don’t care what you think.
- Of course, you’re probably already a devout reader of the Telltale blog, and therefore don’t need any reminding. Right? RIGHT? ↩
The Return of Oprah’s Browser Club
Opera 9 is out, and GMail works perfectly in it. This makes me very, very happy. Now, there’s absolutely no reason for anyone not to use Opera, so ha!
Except… if EVERYONE used it, then it would probably end up like Internet Explorer, Windows, and everything else that’s practically ubiquitous, meaning that more security vulnerabilities would be exploited in it. So really, I don’t want everyone in the world to use Opera. I rather like my status as a Web-browsing minority, thank you very much.
I would, however, be a lot happier if people stopped acting as though Firefox were the only alternative Web browser in the world.

This weekend, I downloaded and played Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, a classic edutainment game from my childhood. To this day, I still find it way more fun than 99.7% of all the newer edutainment games. I mean, who cares if it refers to Beijing as Peking and to the Soviet Union still existing? You’ll never find any other game where people can steal Hudson Bay and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
Now, all I need to do is find episodes of the TV show and I’ll be completely satisfied.
In other news, [1] I met Michael Land at a party this weekend.
- Man, I say that phrase a lot! ↩
A New Super Blog Post
So, I looked over at this blog today, and noticed that over the past little while, I’ve been averaging two posts per month. How neglectful of me. Sometimes, I wonder whether I’m going to turn into one of those people who never updates their blog anymore because they’re too busy having an actual life. Perhaps that’s a good thing.
In other news, I now own a Nintendo DS, complete with a shiny copy of New Super Mario Bros. Considering that I was never allowed to have an NES, SNES, or Gameboy as a child, I never really had the chance to be reasonably good at any of the Mario games. Now, years later, when I actually own a copy of the latest Mario incarnation, I find myself dying in the silliest and most trivial places and becoming incredibly frustrated with myself. However, it’s still all in good fun.
