It’s been a rather busy couple of weeks, what with midterms and papers and assignments, oh my. However, in honour of Halloween, I have decided to update this blog with pictures of pumpkins that aren’t nearly as cool as Dave Grossman’s, as well as the scariest costume you’ve ever seen…
But wait, there's more! »

Look! Look! This site now has a favicon! Now, purple elephants shall haunt you in your bookmarks menu, if you enjoy that sort of thing. Oh, and the Cubert and TGTTPOACS sites have their own favicons too, because they were feeling left out.
In other news, I recently decided, on a whim, to play some Super Nintendo games. Why doesn’t the game industry come up with anything as enjoyable as Donkey Kong Country or Super Mario World anymore? Why?!?!

Whew. I haven’t written in here for a little while, mainly because (if you haven’t already heard/read me saying so elsewhere) I just had laser eye surgery last weekend. As a result, I haven’t really been able to do all that much stuff that’s worthy to blog about.
However, I’ve sufficiently recovered enough to have done a little tweaking in Cruise Ship. One specific thing that might be of interest is that I’ve made the Sam and Max-style character following somewhat more intelligent, having the buddy character start following the ego character if they’re about 150 pixels away, rather than waiting until the ego has finished moving allll the way to the edge of the screen before even moving the buddy character. Now, for those of you who aren’t completely and utterly lost, specifically the fellow SLUDGE developers in the audience, would you be interested in me updating The Interview’s source code to reflect this change, so that you can use it in your own code? Or should I not even bother?
Also, there’ll most likely be a new release of Cubert Badbone coming soon, as a really nice fan is in the process of volunteering to make me a new launcher that allows one to choose between full-screen and window mode. I personally tend to enjoy running my games in windowed mode, as my 15.4″ widescreen laptop distorts everything in full-screen mode, and plus, I like being able to see right away if people have instant-messaged me and such while I’m playing a game. This is why both Cubert Badbone and The Interview’s current versions run in a window. However, it seems as though a lot of people think differently, and are all about the full-screen, making it seemingly justifiable to allow me to go through the trouble of allowing people to switch between either mode. Perhaps I’ll add this option to the finished TGTTPOACS as well. What do you people think?
